PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Provide event support related to the operations of TXCPA’s managed chapters to deliver an exceptional volunteer and membership experience.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate details and logistics for chapter meetings, continuing professional education programs, student events, and social/networking events.
- Complete event set-up, registrations, and reconciliations for chapter programs, as well as reporting of chapter membership and engagement data.
- Work with staff leadership to provide training, resources, and support to all TXCPA chapters to meet chapter support needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three years related experience.
- Proficient in writing for business communications.
- Detail oriented, adaptable, self-starter, with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism.
- Ability to travel overnight (5%).
PREFERRED BACKGROUND:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Previous experience working in an association.
- Previous experience planning and hosting events.
- Association Management System (AMS) experience.
- Experience with the CPA profession or a similar licensed profession.
WORK SCHEDULE: This position will primarily work Monday – Friday during normal business hours with the occasional need to work evening or weekend events.
